Dear Brothers and Sisters:
As you know, the IEASO bargaining team has notified us all that they have reached a tentative agreement (TA) with IEA.
The Executive Committee surveyed the membership about the format for the meeting—virtual or in person. The overwhelming majority of responses ranked virtual format and outdoor in-person as their first and second choices, and the results were very close.
After considering our bylaws and in the interest of having a full debate on the issue of ratification, the Executive Committee has decided to hold the meeting in person.
It will be held October 13, 2021 at Kickapoo Creek Winery just outside Peoria in a covered, side ventilated, event space. Further details will be forthcoming as will the redlined copy of the TA.
Our bylaws require that you receive the redlined version of the TA at least 7 calendar days in advance of the ratification meeting. The bargaining team is working on the redline version now, and it will be provided to you as soon as is practicable.
We hope to see you on October 13.
